Simply pick your car, set your term and mileage and one of our friendly sales staff will create a bespoke payment plan for you - it's as easy as that!

Then, at the end of the term you either...

• Purchase another car off the StanPlan, trading in your old car and paying off the Minimum Guaranteed Future Value (MGFV) then keep any surpluse equity towards the deposit on your new car.
• Return the car and walk away. If the market conditions have changed and the car is worth less than the MGFV, the lender will absorb any loss. Provided the vehicle is in good condition for its age and does not exceed the agreed mileage
• Keep the car by paying off the MGFV. Even if the vehicle is worth more, the customer only has to find the agreed MGFV set at the outset of your finance plan

Hire Purchase (HP)

This is the most common form of car finance after PCP's. The customer pays the cost of the vehicle plus interest in fixed instalments over a pre-determined contract period of upto 5 years. If all the payments are satisfied, full ownership passes to the customer when the final instalment is paid. As the customer does not own the vehicle untill all the payments have been met, the lender still has the right of repossession, should the customer be in default under the terms of agreement.

FSA Regulation and what it means

In January 2005 the Financial Services Authority (FSA) became involved in regulating the selling of car insurance related products and financial products within the motor industry. The Motorhouse was one of the first car retailers in the UK to be guaranteed authorisation by the Financial Services Authority. All car sales executives and financial services staff have been trained and achieved competence by taking and passing the Certificate in General Insurance for the Motor Industry with the Insurance Trading Consortorium which is accredited by City and Guilds.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

Whose products do we offer?

We only offer products from a limited number of insurers for Credit Protection Insurance where applicable, dependant upon your circumstances. A list of Insurers is available on request.We only offer a product from Car Care Plan Limited for Guaranteed Asset Protection and Warranty insurance.

Which service will we provide you with?

You will not receive advice or recommendation from us for Guaranteed Asset Protection, Warranty and Credit Protection Insurance. We may ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.

What will you have to pay us for our services?

We will not charge any fees for arranging this insurance.

Who regulates us?

The Motorhouse Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Our FSA Register number is 307425. We are permitted by the FSA to sell and administer gerneral insurance contracts. You can check this on the FSA's register by visiting the FSA's website www.fsa.gov.uk/register or by contacting the FSA on 0845 606 1234

Ownership

None of the insurance company's own any shares in The Motorhouse Limited.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit.
